Poor Little Bichon
My dog Isabelle, or Izzy which suits her better, is sick. She's been acting strange since this morning, walking kind of lethargically and her head kind of drooping. Though looking back, I can see the warning signs that something was wrong as early as Friday, when my sister called her from the bottom of the stairs and she turned and ran this way and that before she finally saw her straight ahead. Then when she tried to run down the stairs, she stumbled and almost broke her neck (she caught her). I checked on her again this evening, and she was really quiet and wouldn't move a muscle. Her eyes were glassy and her nose was dry, which is a sure sign that your dog is sick. So yeah, please just pray for my dog, pray that whatever she has, it isn't serious or life-threatening. We plan to just keep an eye on her overnight, and if there's no improvement in the morning, then she's on her way to the vet.
Today was very quiet overall. I had a nice afternoon nap that I don't get very often. I don't know what my work schedule is for this coming week, though. I know I'll be off Friday and Saturday because I'll be on a children's retreat at White Oak with my church, but I'm hoping if they work me tomorrow, it'll be during the day shift. It's my sister Susannah's 18th birthday, and my family is making dinner reservations to take her out to the Melting Pot. I've got her present all ready (it's a homemade gift). It's a CD containing a slideshow I put together of her 2004 spring drama she did with her school friends. Since she's getting ready to be a senior, I figure that she'll enjoy the memories of that production. They had quite a bit of fun with it. And that's about all my thoughts for today!
I think I'm gonna go watch "Remember the Titans" on DVD again. That's an awesome movie to watch whether you're in a serious or silly mood. It teaches some great life lessons and it's just very engaging on a personal level.
Song of the Day: Philips, Craig, and Dean - "My Redeemer Lives"
Verse of the Day: "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which God has called you." - Ephesians 1:18-19
