The Needle's Eye

"This story like a children's tune. It's grown familiar as the moon. So I ride my camel high. And I'm aiming for the needle's eye." - Caedmon's Call

Testing=No Fun

Well, I got the PRAXIS I exam out of the way this afternoon. Truth be told, it really wasn't that bad. Certainly didn't give me the kinds of fits that the SAT did back in high school. Of course, the "new" SAT sounds like it's more up my alley now with the essay portion and the lessening of math on the test. But let's leave the past where it belongs. The test went as well as could be expected; I passed, at any rate, and that's all I wanted. Computer tutorial was kind of lengthy, but it's just part of the game. Of course, I won't know exactly how I fared on the writing section for a couple of weeks yet, but I have a pretty good feeling about it. I write better than I speak.

Other than that, today was nice and quiet. I'm actually looking forward to work tomorrow and seeing all of my Haywood friends again for the first time in weeks. With the bulk of my summer activities done, I can hopefully put in at least four solid weeks of work before classes at Furman start again. Looks like I'll get my chance this weekend as the shoppers will be flocking to the mall in droves to cash in on Tax Free Weekend sales. That's going to be hectic like all get out. I still haven't decided whether I'm going back to work at Cherrydale or if I want to stay at Haywood in the fall. The people at the mall have been so nice and very accomodating of my crazy summer schedule, and I've made quite a few friends there. Just something to keep on praying about.

So until next time, keep your eyes to the sky, live long and prosper, and dance like there's no tomorrow. Just take care not to trip. :)
