The Needle's Eye

Clash of the Fighting Felines

I don't have time to go into a long-winded prediction for the Peach (Chick-Fil-A) Bowl, unfortunately. So all I'm going to say is that the game will come down to one key matchup: Clemson's offense vs, Auburn's defense. Clemson must successfully work the field with a balance of the run and pass to soften up Auburn's stout defensive front. Keep the pressure off Cullen Harper, and he should have a solid outing. Give Davis and Spiller enough touches to establish their presence - even if that calls for a mix of draw plays and end-arounds here and there. Finally, execute the basics. Don't go out and make mental mistakes or Auburn will pounce on us and it could turn into a long night.

I can't really see us scoring a lot of points against the War Eagles' defense, but I predict that our Tiger D will step up and get us at least one score. Combined with a solid if not spectatular effort from offense and special teams, the Fighting Tigers of Clemson should be able to cage the War Eagles.

FINAL SCORE: Clemson 21, Auburn 18

GO TIGERS!!!
