The Needle's Eye

"This story like a children's tune. It's grown familiar as the moon. So I ride my camel high. And I'm aiming for the needle's eye." - Caedmon's Call

Random Thoughts

I haven't done a random, staccoto-form post in a while. And thus I haven't been fulfilling the primary function of Blogger. So...

- I have more reading assignments this term than last fall. Someone shoot me now and save me the trouble.

- Just kidding. I'm not suicidal (yet).

- It's fun to talk to friends about acceptence into institutions like dental school and nursing, yet sad as well because it's yet more reminders that the real world is beckoning.

- I miss my students at MHS. Don't laugh - you would, too. They grow on you. Mostly because I didn't get to visit them last week. Have to make up for that this week.

- Not having any source of income is torture when it comes to purchasing textbooks.

- Not having any source of income is torture when it comes to gas, groceries, lunch, birthday cards, and just about anything else that involves money being spent.

- I rather like my Gothic Lit. novels. The accompanying 50-60 page packets are another story.

- I have Mountain Dew to thank for giving me the energy to stay up until past 3 AM this morning to get ahead on my reading assignments. Here's to the Dew.

- Daylight Savings Time. We sprang forward. Thankfully, I didn't notice the change. Mostly because I was up late anyway, so losing an hour didn't make much difference.

- I think I'm becoming addicted to YouTube. Will this prove hazardous to my health? Only time will tell.

- Did my NCAA Basketball Tournament picks on Facebook early this morning. Look for the Tar Heels, Buckeyes, Eagles, and Panthers (UNC, Ohio State, Winthrop, and Pitt for those of you who don't know your college mascots) to represent the Final Four, with North Carolina winning it all in a hard-fought thriller against the Winthrop Eagles, this year's George Mason. Hey, what do you want from me? I do better picking bowl games. :)

- If Christians dared to make a stand for love, or more specifically, the ideal of love that Jesus stands for, we could make serious headway against the bitterness and hostility among the warring factions, and strive for true unity.

That's about it.
