The Needle's Eye

"This story like a children's tune. It's grown familiar as the moon. So I ride my camel high. And I'm aiming for the needle's eye." - Caedmon's Call

Crunch Time

It's finally here. The long, and yet all-too short weekend before exams. Forget about the time issues during normal classes. Truly, this is the period in which time has no meaning. Every hour becomes a blur real fast.

Take today for instance. I woke up at 8:00 am and ventured over to the Education Wing to study. I decided to spend about 3 hours on Math before breaking for lunch. So at 12:30 or so, I quit temporarily to hunt up a bite to eat at our University Center. I stayed there over lunch for the next three hours to start work on my Health final. Unfortunately, my impending night shift at Chick-Fil-A beckoned at 3:30, so I had to stop again. At least I won't be working any next week. Well ... I hope not.

Our scheduling manager ignored my request for Monday night off for exam study and put me down anyway. Despite the fact that I wrote it two weeks in advance in the black sign-off booklet and said something directly. Oh well. I did find someone to take my place that night, although I feel crummy that I won't be able to pay her back by working one of her nights this week, since I'll be departing for home as early as Wednesday. I still have to confirm it with the scheduler, but my goodness. I sincerely didn't think this was going to be an issue.

Anyway, I'm officially in lockdown mode for the next few days. I can at very least take satisfaction in knowing that nothing stands between me and those last exams on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'll probably be a disheveled wreck four days from now. But I have faith that God will sustain me if I'll only reach out and call to Him. And anyway, I've been in tight spots like this before. About time I got used to it. The road only gets harder from here.

Song of the Day: Point of Grace - "You Will Never Walk Alone"
(I love you, girls. Please don't ever quit declaring your passion for the Lord in those melodic voices.)

Verse of the Day: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. ... For nothing is impossible with God. "I am the Lord's servant, " Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said.'" - Luke 1: 35-38
